Bending & Forming

Repeatable angles • Robust tooling • Consistent finish

CNC Bending & Forming You Can Count On

We use precision tooling and documented setups to deliver consistent bends from part one to part one-thousand — integrating with cutting and welding for smooth flow.

  • DFM support: bend reliefs, K-factors, grain direction
  • Backgauges & crowning for angle control
  • First-article verification; in-process batch checks
  • Hems, joggles, offsets, boxes, and complex sequences

Tight Angles

Crowning, tooling selection, and bend deduction control angle and flat size.

Consistent Radii

Proper V-die openings & punch radii for predictable inside radii.

Production Speed

Documented setups and fixtures accelerate repeat jobs.

How Press-Brake Bending Works

A punch forces sheet into a V-die to create an angle. We manage K-factor, bend allowance/deduction, and springback to hold your dimensions.

  • • Tooling selection for material and radius target
  • • Backgauge & crowning to correct deflection
  • • Check fixtures and Go/No-Go gauges for repeatability

Why It Matters

Good bending reduces downstream rework and speeds welding/assembly. Accurate flats ensure holes and tabs line up after forming.

  • • Consistent fit-up across batches
  • • Cosmetic options: hems, safe edges, blended corners
  • • DFM feedback before cutting saves time & material

FAQ

What materials and thicknesses can you bend?
Carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum across common gauges and plate. We’ll confirm feasible inside radii and minimum flanges on your quote.
How do you ensure my angles are consistent?
Tooling selection, crowning, and trial bends dial in springback; we verify with gauges/fixtures and record settings for repeat jobs.
Can you help with flat pattern sizing?
Yes. We calculate bend deductions/allowances (K-factor-based) and can provide DFM feedback before cutting.
